This is a test of the new Windows Live Writer (WLW). When I downloaded this program, I had hopes of it being not only a blog-posting tool, but also a bit of a useful word processor. But it appears that thinking Microsoft would provide anything that would take away from that ultimate cash cow, MS Word, was naive! Besides, isn't the less-than-useless WordPad still shipping in yet another version of Windows?

At any rate, WLW seems to be a pretty nice blogging tool. It handles drafts nicely, and seems to connect with non-MS blogs (very thoughtful!) and have a bevy of easy-to-use tools. Good work, Microsoft!
